Jacob’s syndrome, 야콥 증후군(제이콥 증후군)

여러 종류의 증상 징후가 있는 염색체이상 증후군이다.

야콥 증후군(제이콥 증후군)의 원인

정상 남성의 성염색체는 XY인데 야콥 증후군이 있는 남성은 가외로 Y 성염색체가 하나 더 있다.
성염색체 핵형은 XYY이다.
아빠로부터 한 개의 Y 염색체를 유전 받는 대신에 2개의 Y 염색체를 유전 받으면 야콥 증후군이 생긴다.

야콥 증후군(제이콥 증후군)의 증상 징후

이 증후군이 있어도 정상 아이들과 다른 점이 없이 자랄 수 있다.
때로는 공격적 성격이고 폭력적인 성격을 소지할 수 있고
학습 지연과 학습 장애, 정서 발육 지연이 있을 수 있고,
점점 자라면서 키가 유난히 크고 홀쭉하고
사춘기가 되면 여드름이 많이 나고
언어 장애와 읽기 장애 등이 생길 수 있다.
일반적으로 성관계에는 영향이 없다.
드물게 야콥 증후군이 있는 남성이 클라인펠터 증후군(Klinefelter’s syndrome.)도 동시 가질 수 있다.

야콥 증후군(제이콥 증후군)의 진단

병력, 증상 징후, 진찰소견을 종합해서 이 증후군이 의심되면 염색체검사로 진단한다.

야콥 증후군(제이콥 증후군)의 치료

특별 교육을 시킨다.

Jacob’s syndrome

• Chromosomal aberration syndrome with several types of symptomatic signs. Causes of Jacob syndrome (Jacob syndrome)

• Normal male sex chromosomes are XY, but males with Jacob syndrome have one extra Y chromosome.

• Sex chromosome karyotype is XYY.

• If you inherit two Y chromosomes instead of inheriting one Y chromosome from your father, you have Jacob’s syndrome.

Signs, symptoms of Jacob syndrome

• Even with this syndrome, children can grow up without any difference from normal children.

• can sometimes have an aggressive and violent personality,

• There may be learning delays, learning disabilities, and emotional development delays;

• As he grows older, he becomes unusually tall and slender.

• When you reach puberty, you get a lot of acne.

• Language and reading difficulties may occur.

• Sexual intercourse is generally not affected.

• Rarely, men with Jacob’s syndrome may also have Klinefelter’s syndrome.

Diagnosis of Jacob syndrome

• If this syndrome is suspected by combining the medical history, symptom signs, and examination findings, a chromosome test is performed.

Treatment of Jacob’s syndrome

• Provide special training.
