Neurocutaneous syndrome, 신경섬유종증 증후군
피부 증후군은 신체의 여러 부분에서 종양의 성장으로 이어지는 장애입니다. 이는 배아의 비정상적인 세포 발달로 인해 발생하며 신체의 여러 부분(신경계 포함)에 종양이 존재하고 피부의 특정 차이가 특징입니다. 일부는 태어날 때 진단될 수 있지만 다른 일부는 노년까지 증상을 나타내지 않습니다. 신경피부 증후군은 완치될 수 없지만 치료는 증상과 발생하는 모든 건강 문제를 관리하는 데 도움이 될 수 있습니다. 최근에 일부 사람들에게서 이러한 증후군을 확인하기 위해 DNA 검사를 사용하는 데 중요한 발전이 이루어졌습니다.
Cutaneous syndromes are disorders that lead to growth of tumors in various parts of the body. They’re caused by the abnormal development of cells in an embryo and characterized by the presence of tumors in various parts of the body (including the nervous system) and by certain differences in the skin.
While some can be diagnosed at birth, others don’t produce symptoms until later in life. Although neurocutaneous syndromes cannot be cured, treatments can help manage symptoms and any health problems that occur.
Recently, important advances have been made in using DNA testing to confirm these syndromes in some people.
